CCFS – Cours de civilisation française de la Sorbonne

The Cours de civilisation française de la Sorbonne, usually known as CCFS, specialises in French language and civilisation for international students. The institution teaches from avenue des Chasseurs in Paris’s 17th arrondissement, where it has been based since January 2025. Students should use this current location when planning accommodation rather than older addresses associated with the institution.

Language learning alongside French civilisation

The course range combines French tuition with opportunities to understand French society and culture. Civilisation lectures develop cultural knowledge while providing further listening practice. General programmes are offered in different formats, including monthly summer study, and the catalogue also includes specialist academic preparation.

Business French is available through semester programmes taught on campus. These options serve a different purpose from a short general language stay and should be compared according to their workload and intended learning goals. The institution also lists preparation for recognised French tests and examinations.

The current Paris campus

Teaching and reception are accessed at 7 avenue des Chasseurs. The premises are described as modern and adaptable, with access for people with reduced mobility. The surrounding 17th-arrondissement neighbourhood offers a setting for practising French in ordinary daily situations as well as attending formal classes.

Prospective students should select the precise course code and session before comparing fees or schedules. A monthly language-and-culture programme, an academic preparation route and a semester Business French course involve different commitments. Confirm which lectures, language modules and assessments are included in the chosen programme.
