Asociación Humboldt Goethe-Zentrum Quito

Asociación Humboldt, also known as Goethe-Zentrum Quito, teaches German at Vancouver E5-54 and Polonia. The organisation brings together German-language education and Ecuadorian-German cultural activity. It is listed by the German Academic Exchange Service among the institutions offering German courses and official language examinations in Ecuador.

German courses with different study schedules

The language institute teaches young people and adults through intensive, super-intensive and Saturday formats. Its published level sequence extends from elementary German into advanced study, with modules aligned to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The Saturday route offers a more gradual option within the levels advertised for that timetable.

Classroom teaching combines grammar and writing with active language work and current teaching materials. Intensive and super-intensive courses have different durations and weekly commitments, giving learners a choice based on the time they can devote to study. The institute publishes a calendar of course periods, which helps students plan their progression through successive modules.

Examinations and cultural participation

Preparation courses introduce students to the demands of Goethe examinations at specified levels. Learners should match a preparation course to both their completed language level and their intended examination. The centre also operates as a cultural association, providing a broader setting for engagement with German culture in Quito.

For in-person study, confirm the Vancouver campus timetable, module placement and current enrolment dates. Students considering certification should also check examination availability and the separate registration arrangements.
