Alliance Française de Quito

Alliance Française de Quito is a French-language and cultural centre at Avenida Eloy Alfaro N32-468 and Bélgica. Its Quito course programme serves adults as well as children and teenagers. The centre combines language teaching with access to French-speaking culture, making it relevant to residents and visitors who want to develop French while based in Ecuador's capital.

French courses and examination preparation

The course range includes general French, intensive study and Saturday classes. Different formats allow learners to consider how regular lessons will fit around work, university or other commitments. Teaching follows the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and develops comprehension and expression through a communicative approach.

Separate younger-learner programmes cater to children and teenagers. Students working towards a formal qualification can explore DELF and DALF preparation, with the appropriate route depending on their existing level and intended examination. The centre publishes examination information and calendars, so preparation dates should be coordinated with the relevant session.

French culture beyond the classroom

The Alliance's media library and Culturethèque resources offer further ways to engage with French between lessons. Its cultural programme also provides a connection with film, literature and other forms of French-speaking cultural expression. Campus France maintains an information space at the Quito Alliance for people exploring study in France.

Before enrolling, establish your starting level, the available class schedule and any age requirements for the selected programme. Confirm the current preparation course and examination registration arrangements if certification is your goal.
