EIL Ecuador Spanish and Culture Centre Quito

EIL Ecuador's Spanish and Culture Centre is based in its Quito building on Hernando de la Cruz, near Mariana de Jesús. The centre offers classroom Spanish as part of a wider organisation involved in intercultural learning. Its residential-area setting provides a base for students who want language lessons alongside opportunities to experience everyday life in Ecuador.

Spanish suited to your level and purpose

The centre offers face-to-face group classes, individual tuition and Spanish for specific purposes. A level assessment helps establish the starting point, and teaching can be adapted to a student's language needs. Reading, writing, listening and speaking are covered, with an emphasis on using Spanish to communicate.

Special-purpose study includes business and medical Spanish as well as examination preparation. EIL also publishes a dedicated DELE and SIELE preparation course. Students pursuing one of these routes should discuss their existing level and the context in which they intend to use the language.

A dedicated centre with cultural learning

The EIL building includes classrooms, a library, a meeting room, a cafeteria and a terrace. The learning programme can extend into Quito through activities such as museum and market visits. Homestay arrangements are also offered, giving participants a further setting for practising conversation and learning about local routines.

When organising a stay, clarify the number of daily lesson hours, the individual or group format and which cultural or accommodation arrangements are included. These details shape the balance between classroom study and time elsewhere in the city.
