IKOMA Language School Singapore

IKOMA Language School teaches Japanese in Singapore at Shaw House, 350 Orchard Road. Established in 1996, the school offers a structured progression for students beginning the language and those continuing towards more demanding reading, listening and communication tasks. The campus is located on the twelfth floor of the building.

Japanese from basic to advanced levels

The regular Japanese programme moves through Basic, Intermediate, Pre-Advanced, Advanced and Further Advanced stages. At Basic level, students work on reading, writing, listening and speaking using the Minna no Nihongo textbooks. Intermediate study develops a wider range of grammar, including different verb forms and polite or respectful expressions.

Students can choose part-time classes meeting once or twice weekly, or a weekday daytime intensive format. The school also publishes dedicated JLPT preparation courses. These have their own entry expectations, so students should distinguish a regular language course from revision for a particular examination level.
