Atlas Language School Dublin

Atlas Language School Dublin is based in Portobello House on South Richmond Street, overlooking the Grand Canal. Founded in 2003, the school occupies a substantial historic building in a neighbourhood that combines cafés, local businesses and residential streets. This location places students within reach of central Dublin while offering a recognisable neighbourhood setting for a longer language stay.

English for study, travel and work

Adult courses include General English, more intensive study, academic-year programmes and Business English. Examination preparation covers IELTS, Cambridge English and TOEIC. The school uses placement testing to help assign learners to an appropriate class, with general language study offered from beginner to advanced levels. Specialist examination courses have their own starting-level expectations, so students should check these when choosing a programme.

Campus facilities and student life

The Portobello campus has classrooms, a café, a library, a computer room, study areas and a student lounge. Atlas also provides accommodation support and a social programme, giving students practical ways to settle into Dublin and spend time with classmates beyond lessons. Teacher-training and younger-learner programmes form part of the wider school offering, with arrangements that differ from adult courses. For an adult English stay, compare the weekly classroom commitment, examination goal and accommodation location to build a routine that leaves suitable time for independent practice.
