TANDEM Escuela Internacional Madrid

TANDEM Escuela Internacional Madrid teaches Spanish from a restored nineteenth-century building on Calle Marqués de Cubas. Its setting near the Prado Museum, Retiro Park and Puerta del Sol makes cultural exploration a practical part of a language-learning stay. The school has operated since 1982 and combines general Spanish teaching with programmes built around particular interests.

Spanish courses and cultural interests

Students can choose intensive, super-intensive or extensive study, alongside examination preparation for DELE and SIELE. There are also courses intended for professionals, teachers and university students. TANDEM’s Spanish with a Passion programmes connect language learning with subjects such as art, food, wine and cinema. These offer a different focus from a general course for learners who want to practise Spanish through a personal interest.

The school also runs a language-exchange scheme that matches participants using their backgrounds and interests. Availability and arrangements should be checked for the period of your stay. Its wider cultural programme includes museum visits, sightseeing and activities linked to Madrid’s everyday life.

A central Madrid study base

Facilities listed for the campus include Wi-Fi, air conditioning and an interior garden. Accommodation assistance covers options such as host families, residences and apartments. When comparing courses, ask which cultural activities are included, how the language exchange operates and whether a specialist programme has fixed dates. These details will help you choose between a short intensive visit and a longer period of Spanish study in Madrid.
