VGC International College Vancouver

VGC International College’s School of English Language offers English study in downtown Vancouver. Its teaching operation includes the Hastings campus on West Hastings Street and nearby Granville premises. The English programme combines a core course with options that allow students to focus on particular skills or future study goals.

Core programmes and afternoon choices

The core range includes Global English, IELTS preparation and university preparation. Global English provides a general language route, while the examination and academic options serve learners with more specific objectives. The right choice depends on existing proficiency and what the student needs English for after the course.

Afternoon Plus options address areas such as speaking and error correction, pronunciation, grammar and academic preparation. A Business English certificate programme is also listed. The school publishes additional seasonal programmes for different age groups, which should be checked against their own dates and eligibility.

Studying in downtown Vancouver

VGC’s central setting allows students to combine lessons with city life. Its student services include English workshops and support at the teaching premises. The school identifies Granville as a location for specialist programmes and higher-level English, so the assigned building should be confirmed before arrival.

When comparing a study plan, separate the core course from any afternoon addition. This makes the weekly workload clearer and helps avoid selecting overlapping options. Academic or examination students should discuss their target and timeline before deciding on the course combination.
