Speakeasy BCN

Speakeasy BCN is a Spanish language school near Plaça Catalunya, on the edge of Barcelona’s Old City. Its Ronda de la Universitat location provides a central base for students combining language learning with life in the city. The course range covers both concentrated study and lighter schedules for learners with other commitments.

Intensity and specialist options

The school lists a 20-hour intensive course and a 30-hour super-intensive course, alongside immersive and longer-term formats. A 10-hour semi-intensive option and four-hour evening course give students further ways to organise their week. Conversation and culture classes can support practical communication, while Business Spanish and private tuition address more focused interests.

DELE and SIELE preparation are available for learners working towards an official examination. These programmes should be matched to the student’s current ability and intended test, rather than selected solely by the number of weekly hours.

Planning a Barcelona stay

Speakeasy publishes information about accommodation and student activities alongside its teaching programme. The central location is served by several metro lines and bus routes, making the daily journey an important part of comparing accommodation options. Before choosing a course, review its timetable, level requirements and the activities available during your dates. Learners planning an extended stay can discuss how their study schedule develops over several months.
